Leaving aside the silliness of the Brits (going to play golf in Iceland at midnight as the pretext for a video), this test drive from Car shows us just what the Jaguar XJ can do both as a cruising limousine and as a fun-to-drive sports sedan.
The video is well done but apart from its visual production quality, we learn that Jaguar has managed to fit a sports suspension onto its limousine, giving it sharp handling while still keeping luxury finishes.

The Jaguar XJ is a competitor to such mighty models as the Mercedes S Class but it has a couple of things on its side that should give the German car a run for its money.
The XJ has a lightweight, aluminium chassis and therefore weighs about 240 kg less than the S Class.
While design is a subjective thing, Jaguar has nail its styling on the XJ, producing an elegant, modern and attractive saloon that will definitely compete with the superior German styling.
