Nicky Hayden was fifth followed by Andrea Dovizioso and Alvaro Bautista.
Stefan Bradl took the seventh spot, while Cal Crutchlow finished eighth and ahead of Yamaha factory rider Ben Spies who was 2.

Randy de Puniet and Mattia Pasini who suffered a crash in the session finished in 11th and 12th respectively with both riders finishing ahead of Ducati GP12 prototype riders Karel Abraham and Hector Barbera.
