This follows a stint at Ayr United, where he scored twice in the first half of the season. His performances have not gone unnoticed, as Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin has expressed confidence in Bavidge’s potential to break into the first team next summer. Alongside Bavidge, several other young players are also making strides in their respective loan spells. Alfie Stewart, a midfielder on loan at Inverness, has made eight appearances and scored once, while winger Adam Emslie has returned to Cove Rangers after a successful loan spell, where he scored six goals and provided six assists in 19 matches. Additionally, Findlay Marshall and Dylan Lobban are contributing to Cove’s campaign, with Marshall scoring seven times in 22 appearances. These players are not only gaining experience but also proving their capabilities in competitive environments.

Thelin’s strategy of utilizing loan spells for player development is evident in the club’s recent successes. The players currently on loan were instrumental in helping Aberdeen’s under-18 team clinch the Club Academy Scotland Elite U18s title last season.
