Description
During the twentieth century, it was one of the major centres of the motor and cycle manufacturing industries in England. With its excellent links to the nearby motorways, the city remains an important centre for industry as well as being a centre for learning with two universities, Coventry and Warwick.
Traditional industries of Coventry
The main manufacturing industries of the city today are the motor industry, electronics, machine tools and agricultural machinery. Components for the aerospace industry and telecommunications equipment are also made in and around the city.
