New Moon release at 2009 Rome film festival?

The new film in the Twilight saga New Moon, could have a Rome Film Festival release, according to reports off the Charlie Bewley fans Facebook page.
He apparently has a trip to Rome planned, in occasion of the festival.
Parts of New Moon have been filmed in Italy, based on scenes from the book, and the Italians even have a petition going for a Rome New Moon debut.

The move might appease some disappointed purists that filming New Moon took place in Montepulciano, not Volterra, as included in the book.
