We’ve already seen Silvio Berlusconi’s Magic Italy tourism campaign, and now the Italian prime minister has lent his voice to a television commercial encouraging Italians to explore Italy for themselves.
The country is in full economic crisis mode and this includes Italy’s precious tourism industry, where the numbers of locals enjoying tourism in their own country has been dropping.
The video above starts with the official Magic Italy advertising campaign, and then becomes a spoof video of Italian politicians and their behaviour.
The original video says: “Italy is a unique country of sky, sun and sea, but also history, culture and art…an extraordinary country that you need to discover.
Use your holidays to get to know Italy better, your magic Italy.
”The words become something along the lines of: “what you’re seeing is his [Berlusconi’s] Italia, made up of people who don’t understand the laws they vote for.
Made up of people who are prejudiced, criminals, two-faced, arse-lickers and fake opposition.
” If you know about Italian politics, this video is for you.
