Reports are coming in from different parts of the world, with error messages appearing on the white pages of popular media sites.

A large-scale cyber attack has hit many government sites – including that of the British government – sites of newspapers such as the New York Times, Financial Times, Spectator and Guardian and television networks such as CNN Spectator.

The Guardian page, for example, currently returns the only sentence “Connection failure“, those of the New York Times and the Financial Times “Fastly error: unknown domain: nyt.com“, that of the British government “Error 503 Service Unavailable” and so on.
