The latest Portugese GP in Portimao turned out to be a pretty eventful weekend for the World Superbike Championship.
On the track we saw Tom Sykes taking a well-deserved win in Race-1 after its Kawasaki got fine tuned before the second start, and then we saw Eugene Laverty clinching his first victory for Aprilia in Race-2 while team-mate Max Biaggi got very close to his second SBK title.
Away from the track there have been a few important announcment for the next season, with Leon Haslam that will officially form an all British line up with fellow country man Jonnhy Rea at Honda, 19 tears old star Loris Baz getting a new one year contract with Kawasaki and Michel Fabrizio who will join forces with Italian team Red Devils Rome (and will most likely end up riding a Ducati 1199 Panigale).

The final round of the 2012 season, the french GP, is scheduled for the next October 7th at the Magny Cours circuit.
