After all the negative hype and declarations of not wanting to ride at Motegi due to radiation leaking from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, another two riders have now capitulated to the growing pressure by their team bosses to take part in the event.
Jorge Lorenzo was the first rider to take a stand against travelling to Motegi, had softened his stance of late on the idea, and he and team mate Ben Spies will now be attending the Japanese GP in October.
Yamaha Racing issued this brief press release confirming the partecipation of their two star riders, after declaring that they would have replaced either one of them for the round, if they decided to sit it out.
Yamaha Factory Racing herewith confirms the attendance of its riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies to compete for round 15 of the 2011 MotoGP World Championship at Motegi in Japan on 2nd October.
The Yamaha Factory Racing team will race in Yamaha’s WGP50th Anniversary red and white livery for the 4th time this year at the home GP of team owner Yamaha Motor Co.

Colin Edwards, Cal Crutchlow and Hector Barbera have already been confirmed by their teams that they will race at Motegi, however Casey Stoner, Valentino Rossi and several others are still on holding back on their decisions regarding the matter.
