130 new homes to be built in Buckie, addressing local housing needs.

Topics covered
Springfield Properties, a prominent housebuilder based in Elgin, has unveiled plans for a significant new housing development in Buckie, named Inchgower View. This ambitious project will see the construction of 130 homes along Barhill Road, a move that aims to address the growing demand for housing in the area.
High interest in new homes
With 118 individuals already expressing interest in the properties, the demand for these new builds is evident. The development will feature a diverse range of housing options, including two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as three, four, and five-bedroom houses.
Joyce Hadden, the regional sales director, attributes the popularity of this development to the limited availability of new builds in Buckie over recent years. She stated, “We’re not surprised with the level of demand we’ve seen so far.”
Energy-efficient homes with modern specifications
Each home in the Inchgower View development is designed with energy efficiency in mind, which not only benefits the environment but also helps homeowners keep their running costs low. Hadden emphasized that Springfield Properties is committed to providing high-quality specifications in their homes. “Each of the homes here in Buckie, as with all Springfield homes, are energy efficient which is great for the environment and helps keep running costs low,” she added.
Incentives for potential homeowners
The homes will be available for reservation starting this Friday, with an enticing incentive of £500 for early buyers. Additionally, those who secure a home by April 11 will receive a complimentary golf membership at one of the nearby golf clubs, including Buckpool, Strathlene, or Cullen Golf Clubs. Hadden noted that Springfield aims to simplify the home buying process for potential homeowners by offering a variety of options before they move in. “Our kitchens include appliances, even a dishwasher, and a choice of paint color is offered throughout so your home feels like yours from the day you move in,” she explained.
Community-focused development
Among the first homes to be released is a four-bedroom detached Dunning house style, which is also expected to serve as the show home for the development. In addition to the 130 homes, Springfield has plans to provide 44 affordable housing units, addressing the diverse needs of the community. However, concerns have been raised regarding public transport and connectivity with the rest of Buckie. Springfield has responded by highlighting that the development is well-connected to the wider area and includes green spaces, allotments, a play park, and a kick-about pitch, fostering a sense of community.
As Springfield Properties prepares to launch this exciting new development, it is clear that the Inchgower View project is set to play a crucial role in meeting the housing demands of Buckie, while also enhancing the local community.
