After a four-week closure for extensive renovations, the Burger King on Ashgrove Road in Elgin has reopened its doors, much to the delight of local customers. The fast-food chain has undergone a significant transformation, enhancing both its interior and exterior to create a more inviting atmosphere.
The renovations include modern decor, improved seating arrangements, and the introduction of table service, making it a more enjoyable dining experience for patrons.
Celebrating the grand reopening
To mark the occasion, the restaurant offered a generous giveaway of 1,000 free Whoppers and Chicken Royales, attracting a large crowd eager to taste their favorite meals.
Regular customers, like Jane and Eric Adam, expressed their excitement about the changes. Jane remarked, “When you walk in, it all looks absolutely lovely. I’m glad they’re now open again.” The couple, who visit the restaurant daily, noted that they missed their regular outings during the renovation period.
In addition to the aesthetic upgrades, the Elgin Burger King has also expanded its menu to include breakfast options, a service that had been unavailable since before the pandemic. Restaurant manager Kevin Hardman, who has dedicated 35 years to Burger King, shared his enthusiasm for the new offerings. “It looks like a new restaurant – especially inside,” he stated. The extended opening hours now run from 9 AM to 11 PM, allowing customers more flexibility to enjoy their meals at their convenience.

Feedback from customers has been overwhelmingly positive, with many noting that the restaurant appears “completely transformed.” Kevin Hardman expressed his gratitude to the loyal patrons, stating, “I hope you enjoy the new layout. It’s very impressive and there’s been a real change from what it was before to what it is now.” As the restaurant settles into its new routine, it aims to continue providing excellent service and quality food that keeps customers returning.
