With the performance stats of its 2009 models, Honda is demonstrating its technological strong point.
The CBR600RR has been updated for 2009, taking its place in the supersports world.
The introduction of the ABS-CBS braking system is big news.
It’s an electronically controlled integrated brake system, coupled with the sports-style ABS.
The systems guarantees more contained and balanced braking, in addition to greater safety levels.
The front calipers are now monoblock, the same as those on the CBR1000RR.
The engine is now more responsive at regimes of 8000 to 12000 revs, thanks to the increase of 3.
5 percent in torque at 10,000 revs.
The 88kw of power remains the same, while the titanium exhaust gives a little boost with new electronic valve.
Fuel combustion is better monitored through a new sensor.
The throttle has been reworked, and greater stability has been achieved, while the weight is still at the lowest of this category at 184kg.
Colours available include Pearl Sunbeam White, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Honda, other colours include Graphite Black/Italian Red and Graphite Black/Brite Lime Green Metallic Other aspects remain the same as the 2008 version, include compact instrumentation with ABS dash indicator, HESD shock absorber and HISS anti-theft system.
Optionals include a darker windshield, various carbon fibre parts and AVERTO alarm system.
