An amazing Italian singing talent has just emerged in the form of Marco Mengoni and I dare to call him the “Italian Robbie Williams”.
In the video after the jump, Marco gives his final medley performance on the Italian television X-Factor program, and I think you’ll agree it’s quite impressive.
What’s more, he’s shows a flair for pop music sung in English, and it’s hoped he might become an Italian export to the world.
Marco Mengoni has already released his first EP since the show called “Dove si vola” or “where you fly”.
He has a great story to sell, too, having been a barista and waiter, he started singing at weddings or other events where sometimes he would get just 30 euros for his efforts.
Now he’s off to the 2010 Sanremo festival but whatever the outcome there, we suggest he’s already got it made on the Italian music scene at least.
