Modigliani's La Belle Romaine sold for 50 million euros in New York

Amedeo Modigliani’s La Belle Romaine has been sold at Sotheby’s for 50 million euro; the famous work which is part of a series of nudes the Italian artist painted around 1917 drew five telephone bidders into a heated competition.
The good news is that part of the money will be donated to NFAA, an association which helps young artists.
