Italian actress Monica Bellucci plays a witch in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

Italian actress Monica Bellucci is shooting The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, a Walt Disney movie that will hit cinemas on 16 July 2010.
A few days ago our colleagues over at cineblog published a few pics from the movie directed by Jon Turteltaub, but now we can take a look at a new batch of photos which were taken at the Battery Park in New York last Monday and which show Mrs Bellucci as the beautiful Veronica, a witch madly in love with Balthazar Blake, a fascinating sorcerer played by actor Nicolas Cage.

The screenplay by Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal (partly revised by Matt Lopez) tells the story of a young student who becomes the apprentice of a powerful sorcerer.
