This decision was made by thinking for over the past year and a half. They did some healing and self-reflection and made them decides as non-binary. It also made them feel most authentic and original as the person. Even though they still discovering. The singer who also identifies as pansexual asked fans to keep living life truthfully. They also sent much love to fans or person who is struggling to their identity.

Demi also claimed that them being non-binary didn’t mean they will stop dressing in a feminine way. Demi added, “There might be a time I wanna wear a wig or in some other time I want to wear something completely femme presenting.”

In October, the singer made the statement that they are very fluid in sexuality. They revealed it in a Facebook special for National Coming Out Day. Demi also shared how they told their mother about it. Their mother said that want Demi to be happy, whatever if that’s a man or woman.

A woman who broke the engagement with Max Enrich also added they told all of their friends and older sister when they were 17. Then they told to parents after that the public. Demi also claimed that there were their songs about girls but fans thought it was about guys. “I’m shocked that some of them didn’t know that some of the songs were for a specific person. I was sharing it and wasn’t being completely obvious with it. Music was my safe place.”
