Scientific warned Covid wave could hit hospital admissions until 7,000

Boris Johnson on yesterday’s press conference insisted he wanted to avoid restriction and stay with more relaxed Covid rules. However, he did not rule out more lockdowns. The UK Prime Minister also mentioned he would do anything needed to block the overwhelming of the NHS.

Ministers preparing plan B for Covid wave

He stated that ministers were preparing a Plan B in case there is an uncontrollable spike in cases. Vaccine passports for large events, advice to work from home, and the return of mandatory face masks are several of them.

Health Secretary protected the government’s Covid plan

Health Secretary Sajid Javid protected the government’s Covid winter program after the latest warning from scientists. He said there were no ‘risk-free’ options.

”It is the act of a responsible Government to arrange our plan, this is how we are going to defend the gains, but just in case things are not quite as we want them to be we have got to have another plan and get that ready too,” added him.
