One day in NYC
Head to Lower Manhattan to walk around Battery Park, Ground Zero and the South Street Seaport. If you want to skip the long queues to visit the Statue of Liberty, take the Staten Island Ferry instead for a drive-by view.

More exploration
Then go to Chinatown for lunch and then explore Soho, Noho and Nolita. Dine in Times Square and then try to catch a show on Broadway.

Two days in NYC
A good option would be spending the morning in the Upper West Side followed by a stroll around the shops near 79th St. and Broadway.

Tip:

Three days in NYC
Day one

One of the first tourist sites on your New York map may be the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In the afternoon go to Fifth Avenue and stroll south to its shopping district.

Day two

Explore the UN to the East and dine on the Upper East side. Start with a walk through Central Park and then visit the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).

From here, head to the Rockefeller Center where you can go up to the Top of the Rock. Swing by Macy’s afterwards and go to either Little Brazil or Little Korea for dinner.

Day three

Hit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and dine in Greenwich Village.
Open all day
Monday is the perfect day to explore Central Park (from north to south) as many museums are closed. If you emerge on the park’s west side, you can take the subway to Chelsea to do a little window-shopping and inhale the fresh-cookie smell in Chelsea Market. Take a look at the bargain shops on Orchard Street before heading north into East Village. End the day with a pub crawl along Second Avenue.
