Who sells tabletop dishwashers

Tabletop dishwashers can be bought both online and instore from major retailers. These include Currys (Currys.co.uk), Argos (Argos.co.uk) and John Lewis (Johnlewis.com). Other outlets include Sainsbury’s (Sainsbury.co.uk) and online retailer Amazon (Amazon.com)
Measuring up
Before parting with any cash, visit your nearest electrical retailer to view table top dishwashers.
Take a note of measurements and ensure your worktop is wide enough to accommodate one of these machines. Make sure there is sufficient space between worktops and cupboards to accommodate a countertop dishwasher. Remember, these machines need to sit beside your sink.
Research
Find out if any countertop models are among top rated dishwashers. If not, check out mini dishwashers made by the manufacturers of top rated full size machines. This will give you guidance on features and wash programmes available. Some compact dishwashers can be integrated among wall mounted cupboards in the same way full size and slimline machines can be integrated among cupboards under worktops. If worktop space is at a premium, this could provide a solution.

Argos
As at June 2011, Argos was selling two tabletop dishwashers, one by Bush, costing £149.95, and one manufactured by Bosch, costing £372.75.
John Lewis
John Lewis was selling seven tabletop dishwashers in June 2011, two manufactured by Zanussi and five manufactured by Bosch. The Zanussi machines cost £319 and £339. The costs of the Bosch models were £345, £350, £362, £368 and £372.
Currys
As at June 2011, Currys website was advertising just one compact dishwasher manufactured by Kenwood. The price was £179.99.
Sainsbury
Sainsbury was selling three Bosch tabletop dishwashers costing £364.99, £375.99 and £379.99. The company was also selling a Zanussi compact dishwasher priced at 309.99.
Amazon
As at June 2011 search for compact dishwashers on Amazon revealed two models by Bosch costing £499.99 and £458.32. Amazon also stocked an Igenix compact costing £174.70.

If you know what model of compact dishwashers you intend to buy, try using a price comparison website to find the lowest price. When you obtain this, see if your local independent electrical retailer is able to supply the machine for less.
