Star Trek crossover lands on MTG Arena November 10

The long-awaited Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek crossover is set to drop on MTG Arena on Tuesday, November 10. Wizards of the Coast has rolled out a series of teasers and incentives to build hype, starting with an Early-Access Event on Wednesday, November 4.

At 10 a.m. PT, a roster of popular streamers and community figures will explore the new cards live on YouTube and Twitch, giving players a first-look at the mechanics and flavor that blend the multiverse of Magic with the iconic galaxy of Star Trek.

Beyond the preview, the set introduces a fresh suite of Achievements that reward players simply for opening packs and playing matches with the new cards. These milestones hand out in-game items such as additional MTG Arena packs, exclusive Star Trek-themed avatars, and custom card borders.

All achievement tiers, along with their specific rewards, are listed on the official Mastery page, allowing players to track progress and plan their gameplay around the new content.

Preorder bundles and exclusive cosmetics

Wizards is offering three $49.99 preorder packages, each designed for a different playstyle. The Pack Bundle grants the purchaser 45 regular Star Trek packs, five mythic packs, five Golden packs, and a Captain James T. Kirk card with a depth-art style. The Pass Bundle adds a Set Mastery Pass with ten bonus levels, a Sealed token, 20 Star Trek packs, two Golden packs, and a Captain Jean-Luc Picard card plus his depth-art variant. Finally, the Play Bundle provides a Captain Janeway sleeve, an Exocomp companion, four Draft tokens, two Sealed tokens, 20 Play-In points, and a Captain Kathryn Janeway card with matching depth-art styling. All bundles become usable on release day, while certain sleeve and companion items are available immediately upon preorder.

Community events and competitive play

From November 2 to 5, Wizards staff will hijack the official /magic stream for an Extra Life Employee Takeover. The daily 9 a.m.–12 p.m. PT slot will feature rotating employees engaging in light-hearted challenges, all in support of the charitable Extra Life fundraiser. Meanwhile, the Arena Direct event for Edge of Eternities Sealed runs November 6–8, offering Best-of-One matches where three to five victories award MTG Arena packs and gems, while six wins unlock coveted Play Booster boxes, subject to availability.

The competitive calendar continues with the Arena Powered Cube that stays open until November 9, allowing players to draft legendary cards from previous sets. After the Star Trek launch, the Qualifier Play-In schedule kicks in: a Best-of-One qualifier on November 14, a Best-of-Three on November 20, followed by a two-day Qualifier Weekend on November 21-22. Successful qualifiers earn spots in that month’s Qualifier Weekend, a stepping stone toward the Arena Championship circuit.

Seasonal rewards for November 2026 are slated to arrive at the start of the December ranked season (12:05 p.m. PT on November 30). Participants who have logged at least one ranked game will receive tiered prizes ranging from a single Star Trek pack (Bronze) up to five packs, 1,000 gold, and exclusive card styles such as “Highly Illogical” and “U.S.S. Discovery, at Black Alert” for Mythic-level players. These rewards incentivize early adoption and sustained play throughout the launch window.
