Catherine Zeta-Jones to star in Muccino's new film

Gabriele Muccino has just started shooting his new Movie Playing the Field in Louisiana.
Well known in America for such movies as The Pursuit of Happyness and Seven Pounds, this time the Italian director focusses his attention on the relationship between a divorced father and his son.

More specifically, the movie tells the story of a Scottish football player at the end of his career who returns to his hometown with the hope of getting a new job and winning back his son’s affection.

The cast includes such big names as Dennis Quaid (the rich man), Uma Thurman (the rich man’s profligate wife) and Catherine Zeta Jones in the role of a local journalist who tries to help the unhappy footballer played by Gerard Butler.
