Grate them or cut them into small pieces, then arrange them in cloth or organza bags. They are great for perfuming clothes and linen.

Scented Pout-Pourri

You can also use cloth bags to make pout-pourri. Fill them with lavender flowers, sage leaves or other plants you like. At this point, put them in wardrobes and drawers. You can also place them on windows and furniture to spread the scent throughout the house. For a relaxing scent in the bedroom, put liquorice and vanilla berries or dried cloves and rose petals in a nice basket.

Reusing Citrus Peels and Pine

A very simple remedy to perfume the whole house is to reuse citrus peels. Peel oranges, lemons, tangerines and cut the peels into strips. Leave them on the heaters on and you will smell the scent!

If you have a fireplace at home, try to burn some rosemary sprigs and some pine needles together with the wood. If you like, add a few cinnamon sticks. It is ideal for colder evenings.

Simple DIY Projects: Home Spray

Finally, here is an idea to make a home spray. Bring a cup of water to the boil and add citrus peel to taste, a vanilla berry, a handful of cloves and a few cinnamon sticks. Filter the liquid, add a tablespoon of vodka and put it in a spray container. Spray the infusion into the rooms of your house.

One last piece of advice. Perfume is fine, but never forget to ventilate the rooms by opening the windows at least 10-15 minutes a day. This will allow you to reduce the concentration of other indoor sources of pollution!
