Aromatherapy with Lavender Essential Oils

Hot and dry environments allow viruses and bacteria to spread. Therefore, if you want to prevent colds, flu and other seasonal illnesses, you need to humidify the air at home. Just add a few drops of lavender balsamic essential oil to the water in the diffusers attached to the radiators.

Alternatively, you can spray it periodically in all rooms, especially in bedrooms. In this way the fragrance will spread and you will get a relaxing atmosphere, without polluting the air and without any risk for your health.

Resting

If you suffer from insomnia, nocturnal awakenings or struggle to fall asleep, then here is a natural trick to sleep peacefully. Try placing a handkerchief soaked in lavender essential oil on the bedside table or near the pillow. Alternatively, prepare a pillow filled with dried lavender flowers, and add a few drops of essential oil.

Insect bites

Among the various natural remedies to use in case of insect bites is also lavender essential oil. You can pour one or two drops in a teaspoon of aloe vera gel and apply it to the skin.

Lavender Essential Oils Bath Salts

Immerse yourself in a bathtub full of hot water with bath salts is an amazing stress therapy. To relax and release tension, there is nothing better than lavender essential oil. To make lavender bath salts you need: cooking coarse salt, lavender essential oil and dried lavender flowers. First of all, fill a dry, well-cleaned glass jar with coarse salt. Then add a teaspoon of dried lavender flowers. Finally, add 2 or 3 drops of essential oil to make the scent more intense.

Ecological Deodorant

With lavender and baking soda you can prepare a really effective organic deodorant. Simply mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 4 drops of lavender essential oil. Keep it in a jar and apply it to the skin as if it were talcum powder. For an even more fragrant deodorant, you can add 2 drops of geranium essential oil.

Lavender Essential Oils Compresses

You can make hot or cold lavender compresses depending on the type of pain you want to treat. Cold compresses are useful for bruises, while hot compresses, for example, are great for cervical pain and muscle contractures. Soak a cloth or gauze in hot or cold water and apply a few drops of lavender essential oil. At this point, simply place the compress on the area to treat.
