WSBK Valencia: Cal Crutchlow takes Second Superpole of the Season

Cal Crutchlow took his second-straight suprise Superpole in Valencia besting the more quoted Max Biaggi and Carlos Checa for the pole postion.
The Sterilgarda Yamaha rider putting in a scorching lap of 1’33.
615 in the final Superpole 3 session leaving Carlos Checa in second place and unable to better his Superpole 2 lap time.

Max Biaggi will take off from third and after running out of soft tires in Superpole 3, ran race tires putting in an impressive series of runs.
Championship points leader Leon Haslam closed the front row with his fourth spot.

Haslam made into Superpole 3 with desperate last lap and for a few minutes the timing screens went on the blink leaving everyone wondering if the Alstare Suzuki rider had made into the top 8.
When the screens went back on line Haslam had qualified and bumped out of Superpole 3 James Toseland who will taking off ninth on the grid and on row three, together with Michel Fabrizio and Noriyuki Haga, 10th and 11th and Shane Byrne 12th on the other Althea Ducati.
Troy Corser and his BMW qualified fifth, his best position so far in the season, while Sylvain Guintoli took sixth, another surprise in the session.

Seventh went to Jonathan Rea and eighth to Lorenzo Lanza, who also took a spill in the final session.
