The Exhibitalia event is part of the Art Basel festival in Miami Beach and this year the Fiat 500 is on display both for arts’ sake and probably to generate more interest in the US market for the new pint-sized Fiat model.
After other car manufacturers showed art cars and sculptures, Fiat left a 500 vehicle with student teams from the University of Miami, who are to use the car as their “inspiration and canvas”.
While some artwork was produced in relation to the car, the Fiat 500 became an art car itself with the entire vehicle literally used as a canvas.
